Learn to Draw Dogs

Whether you’ve never picked up a sketchbook or you’re looking to build your confidence, this welcoming six-week course is designed to help you develop your drawing skills one paw at a time.

Led by Heather of Lenefsky Studio, each session guides you through techniques to capture the character, expression and personality of dogs in a relaxed and encouraging environment. No pressure. No experience required. Just great company, plenty of creativity and a fun evening out.

Along the way we’ll explore:

– Seeing the feeling of the pose before the details (“the dog before the fleas”)

-Finding rhythm through characteristic straights and curves

-Breaking complex forms into simple, manageable shapes

-Understanding the underlying structure shared by every breed

-Drawing expressive heads, paws and features

-Developing confidence + learn to observation

Dates

Classes begin Monday 31 August 2026.

To accommodate Spring School Holidays, we’ll take a two-week break from 28 September + 9 October, then finish the final two classes on 12 and 19 October.
